OSB3 in the interior
8 April
OSB3, or oriented strand board, is a multilayer sheet comprising wood shavings (thin chips) bonded with various resins, along with synthetic wax and boric acid. The chips in the layers of the board have different orientations: longitudinal in the outer layers and transverse in the inner layers.
OSB3 is known for its special resistance to moisture, moisture resistance, and durability. It finds applications in construction, including walls, floors, roofs, and stairs. Additionally, it is used as decorative inserts in interiors and in furniture manufacturing.
While OSB3 is moisture-resistant, it is not waterproof. Prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to the deformation of the material.
Advantages:
- Cost-effective.
- Provides efficient thermal and acoustic insulation.
- Easy to cut and size.
- The oriented surface accepts acrylic paint of any color easily.
